Lorena has been an active volunteer with the Pregnancy Support Network for 32 years. One of her most memorable appointments as an advocate at TPPC involved a young woman who was very distraught over the news of her pregnancy. Being a college athlete on scholarship greatly complicated her situation. Lorena patiently encouraged her and then at a second appointment, the father of the baby, that although their situation was not ideal, it was doable. They married and gave birth to their little girl. About a year later, this couple sent Lorena a sweet letter of appreciation with a picture of their precious daughter. Their words: “Thank you for helping us do what we needed to do.”
Lorena and Lane Glick have been married for 52 years and spent 12 years as missionaries in Papua New Guinea. She taught religious instruction in public schools there, and consistent with her God-given passion, she started an annual women’s retreat that has continued through the years, growing in attendance to more than 6,000 women.
She and Lane are the parents of five daughters, two of whom are natives of Papua New Guinea and needed a loving home in America. They also have five grandchildren.
Lorena is the national director of IHC Women of Worth, an organization that holds women’s conferences. When not volunteering, Lorena enjoys gardening and reading.
Thank you, Lorena, for spreading God’s love to so many at The Pregnancy and Parenting Center!
