Sharon Emerick is a volunteer client advocate at the Cleveland Avenue satellite location of The Pregnancy and Parenting Center. She has been giving her time weekly to this ministry for seven years. She has worked as a school bus driver for Tuslaw Local Schools for 17 years and volunteers between the morning and afternoon driving times.
She has been married to Virgil for almost 40 years! They have three adult children and six grandchildren.Sharon’s spiritual gift is service so when she heard volunteers were needed in our organization, she just couldn’t help but sign up. She believes this is where God wants her to serve.
During her most memorable appointment, she had the opportunity to meet with a young woman from Saudi Arabia who was in the USA as a student and had a new baby. She was Muslim but allowed Sharon to pray with her at the end of her appointment. This young woman has since returned to her country. “I am hopeful God allowed me to plant seeds in her heart. I pray I will see her again in heaven.”
